Manifesto

In my practice I explore zones of tension and mutual passage between the personal and the collective, freedom and control, cooperation and coercion.

I am drawn to the movement from the general to the particular and back: how large structures become a person's inner form, and how the person, in turn, reproduces, displaces or transforms those structures. What stands at the centre of my attention is not one direction of this movement, but the very logic of their mutual production.

I work with painting, ceramics, embroidery, print techniques and installation. Through the layering of image and material I explore the overlap and friction of several logics within a single image, space or state.
